US Coast Guard to assist Fiji Navy

The Fijian Navy will learn as much as it can knowledge from the US Coast Guard which is currently providing surveillance to our ocean.

Sub Lieutenant Opeti Enesi says they are grateful for the opportunity as this will boost their capacity.

“So with this partnership agreement that Fiji has with the United States, it’s going to be a big boost for the Fiji Navy in terms of protecting its waters and the sovereignty that we have.”

Fiji currently has around 1.3 million square kilometers of ocean and the US Coast Guard is of great help as Fiji does not have the capability to protect all our oceans.
