Urai joins SODELPA

Fiji Trades Union Congress President Daniel Urai has been selected as one of the proposed candidates of the Social Democratic Liberal Party for the upcoming 2018 General Elections.
This comes after the party announced another 16 proposed candidates during their Annual General Meeting in Lautoka today.
Urai was barred to stand in the 2014 general elections over some legal matters.
The proposed candidates that were announced include opposition leader Ro Temumu Kepa and SODELPA Leader Sitiveni Rabuka.
The total number of SODELPA’s proposed candidates now stands at 46 with the other six to be announced later.
The 46 proposed candidates are Jese Saukuru, Nacanieli Waka, Meretui Ratunabuabua, Pauliasi Matawalu, Mitieli Bulanauca, Ratu Atonio Lalabalavu, Niko Nawaikula, Simione Rasova, Mere Samisoni, Anare Jale, Inia Qereqeretabua, Peceli Volanibola, Ratu Tevita Niumataiwalu, Nemani Bulitavu, Adi Narayan, George Shiu Raj, Ezekiel Sharma, Arvind Deo Singh, Jone Kata, Inosi Kuridrani, Viliame Gavoka, Aseri Radrodro, Peceli Rinakama, Ro Kiniviliame Kiliraki, Ratu Suliano Matanitobua, Jope Koroisavou, Ropate Ligairi, Salote Radrodro, Berenado Daveta, Pio Tabaiwalu, Kitione Vuetaki, Daniel Urai, Anare Vadei, Lynda Tabuya, Jiosefa Dulakiverata, Simione Drole, Uraia Salababa, Malakai Nalawa, Ro Teimumu Kepa, Mikaele Leawere, Semesa Karavaki, Tanya Waqanika, Adi Litia Qionibaravi, Ratu Jone Seniloli, Ratu Isoa Tikoca and Sitiveni Rabuka.
