University works to boost entrepreneurship skill

The University of the South Pacific will be focusing on enhancing entrepreneurship skill amongst the youth.

USP TAFE program Deputy Director, Dr. Brad Carte says more awareness and training sessions are expected to be introduced within the University.

Carte says the on-going Entrepreneur Fair Program, kick starts this initiative.

“In the last few years The University of the South Pacific has facilitated the entrepreneurial workshops together with our annual career fair for students who go to USP, this year we decided to separated it from the career fair because its significance to the University.”

Carte says the Program has been one of the top priorities for the University in its 2013-2018 strategic plan.

The workshop is conducted by USP and the Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Industry.
