University of Fiji management discusses issues raised by students

The University of Fiji Management has deliberated on all issues raised by its Student Association.

Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Narendra Reddy says most of the issues have been discussed with the students, the Registrar and Executive Director Finance.

Professor Reddy says an action plan has been drawn for the issues pending and a proposed timeline has been given.

He says that some of the issues in the appeal were on the collection of student fee arrears, prices of food items in the cafeteria, student representation in council subcommittees and austerity measures.

According to the Acting VC, the management is committed to working with the Student Association on student matters through the University approved processes.

Meanwhile last Monday, the Student Association handed an appeal notice to the University Management on the above issues.
