Acting Prime Minister and Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says unemployment is not only an issue in Fiji but other countries as well.

Sayed-Khaiyum speaking in Parliament said the Opposition has always been criticizing the government for a lack of jobs.

“They talk as if that unemployment is only the curse of this government. What were the track records in the previous government? The Honorable Minister for Employment said and accepted that there is unemployment. Of course there is unemployment and we must remedy it, that’s what we here for, that’s what we want to fix.”

Sayed-Khaiyum is urging the Opposition to work with the government on issues which are of national importance.
