The Housing Authority is aiming to provide the first 119 housing lots in Tavua to the lower and middle-income earners once it’s completed.

Housing Authority General Manager Land and Housing Development – Isikeli Navuda says two phases have been planned.

The first 119 lots will be completed in April and the Authority is considering the development of another 16 acres as phase two.

“So probably we are looking at another 120 or so blocks in the next phase but as far as this stage goes. Like I said it’s almost there, we just moving into the final phases of the work before we complete the development.”

Four million dollars has been allocated for this project with housing assistance and the development of low-cost housing a government priority.
