Police has confirmed that two people have been questioned and released in relation to the Waila Temple sacrilege which took place last week.
Commissioner of Police, Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho says that police will ensure those who are responsible for these attacks are brought to justice.
Qiliho says police does not want anyone to be intimidated for their right to worship.
He said that these attacks are of great concern and all Divisional Police Commanders have been directed to look into the issue and engage with the respective religious organizations in their area.
The Commissioner adds this will safeguard people’s commitment to their safety and their right to worship.
Three other similar cases reported earlier this year remain under investigation.
