“At this stage, there are two species that at the highest level of threats which we call critically endangered, one of them is the Fiji Petrel, the second species is the Kulawai which we haven’t have any strong evidence of seeing that bird for 25 years probably.”

O’Brian says they have been gathering information on the whereabouts of the two birds and they’ve been calling for a more national focus on the issue.

The organization is calling on the public to give information if these two birds are spotted anywhere in the country.
