Two more families today received $75, 000 each from the Accident Compensation Commission.
George Mawi and Ameo Matavutuka both lost their loved ones in separate motor-vehicle accidents this year.
Matavutuka who lost his ten-year-old son Taniela Tuinivono in Namosi in February says he will invest the money in his family house.
He says part of the compensation payment will also be used for his other five children’s education.
Meanwhile George Mawi who lost his wife Patricia Mawi also in February says he will also use the money for his children’s tertiary education.
“This money will be well spent on my children’s education so that they can setup their families because we don’t know when we are going to go. So at least when we go, we address that they can look after themselves and their families.”
Attorney-General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says the Government is also looking at making additional provisions to the Accident Compensation Scheme.
