Two separate accidents have resulted in the death of two men.
The first case was reported in Waqadra, Nadi yesterday afternoon whereby a 40-year-old man died after he was seriously injured when the lock of a spare tyre casing snapped and hit his face.
He was rushed to the Nadi Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The second incident occurred in Kadavu early yesterday morning whereby a farmer in his 30s from Nacomoto Village died after the fiber glass boat he was travelling in collided into another boat.
The incident occurred after 1am at Muaisolo Bay, Naceva.
The victim was traveling on a boat operated by a 36-year-old man.
Due to the impact of the collision the victim was thrown out of the boat and found 2 metres at the bottom of the sea.
The suspect is alleged to have been traveling at very high speed when the accident occurred.
The suspect and 3 others traveling in the second boat are admitted at the Vunisea Hospital as investigations continue.
