Two people have lost their lives in separate accidents in the last 48 hours.

Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro confirms a 24-year-old woman died in Varoko Ba after three vehicles were involved in an accident at around 7pm yesterday. The deceased sustained injuries and was rushed to the hospital where she later passed away.

In another incident, at around midnight on Friday, a 39- year- old man was hit by an unknown vehicle believed to be travelling from Nadi to Sigatoka along Queens Road in Bara Sigatoka.

The victim was rushed to the Sigatoka Hospital, however, was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police are appealing for information which could help police identify and locate the vehicle and driver responsible.
