Two fires in the North

Police have not ruled out arson in two fire incidents in Vanua Levu yesterday.

At Wasavulu village , Labasa– a corrugated iron and timer house was completely destroyed with its contents – at two in the morning.

The estimated cost of damage is $8,000.

FBC News understands there was a domestic dispute before the fire occurred.
Police are investigating the incident.

At Malawai, Dreketi – the home of a 62 year-old farmer was destroyed – along with all its contents in a fire.

There were no causalities in both the incidents.

The cause of the fires is still unknown.
