Two local table tennis reps have been named in the Team Oceania for the World Cadet Challenge in Tottori, Japan this October.
The athletes were selected following the Cadet Singles events at the 2018 ITTF-Oceania Junior Championships in the Cook Islands.
11-year-old Vicky Wu has been named alongside with New Caledonian Emmanuel Bruchard, Finn Luu of Australia and Nathan Xu of New Zealand in the Boy’s Team.
The Girl’s team sees Fijian Filomena Duncan, Danni-Elle Townsend of Australia, Lorie La of New Caledonia and Jiayi Zhou of New Zealand.
Team Oceania will head to Tokyo in October for a five-day training camp, before heading to Tottori for the World Cadet Challenge.
Meanwhile, Vicky Wu finished second in the Cadet Boys single event in Group 4 while Chauhan Jai finished third in Group 1.
The Championship continues today.
