Twenty-one-year-old rewarded by police

Twenty-one-year-old Kasiano Keke of Kinoya Village in Nasinu has been given the Commissioner of Police’s Crime Prevention Certificate of Commendation for his role in the apprehension of two suspects involved in a robbery in Nadera last year.

Keke as well as another youth were walking along Nadera on the eve of the December 12th last year when a bus stopped nearby and they witnessed two youths jump in and grab the money box before running away.

The two chased the suspects and managed to apprehend them and hand them over to the police.

The money box was also returned to the bus driver.

Divisional Police Commander Senior Superintendent of Police Tevita Waqabaca presented the Certificate as well as a monetary reward to Keke.

The second youth who assisted in the arrest will also be presented the Commissioner’s Commendation certificate at a later date.
