The tsunami advisory for all coastal areas and maritime islands in Fiji is now cancelled.

The Mineral Resources Department Seismology Section says tsunami wave heights on local tide gauge are below advisory level and have normalized.

It says as per the instructions given by the Hawaii-based Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, the general public is advised to remain cautious as there may be small sea-level changes and strong unusual currents may persist.
