The Tertiary Scholarship & Loans Board is visiting schools around Fiji encouraging students to come to them for their education needs.
The board has found that students – who don’t qualify for the six hundred toppers scheme – don’t bother to enquire about other options available.
TSLP Manager Operations, Laisiasa Corerega says they don’t just provide university scholarships for the top students and this a point that’s being stressed to high school students.
“There is round about seven types of schemes have the National toppers scheme ,the TELS the existing one which basically it corporate the Multi Ethnic Affairs, FAB scholarship, PSC then we have the TELS the new one which has been implemented this year, we have the accommodation schemes schemes also the special scholarship schemes.”
Corerega says scholarships are also provided for students getting marks lower than 200
