Trump was referring to 33-year-old, Ronil Singh, who legally immigrated to the United States where he studied to become a respected member of the Newman California Police Department for the last seven years, before being shot and killed by an illegal national with a long criminal record.

Trump mentioned Singh during an Oval Office address discounting claims from the opposition that his border wall with Mexico was immoral.

“The only thing that is immoral is the politicians to do nothing and continue to allow more innocent people to be so horribly victimized. America’s heart broke a day after Christmas when a young police officer in California was savagely murdered in cold blood by an illegal alien who just came across the border. The life of an American hero was stolen by someone who had no right to be in our country.”

Singh left behind his wife and a 5-month old son.
