A tropical depression located near Rotuma is expected to gradually drift southwards towards Fiji over the next 24 to 48 hours.
The disturbance is responsible for some of the wet weather currently being experienced over Fiji.
In a report the Nadi weather office says conditions could make the disturbance grow stronger over the next twenty-four hours.
A follow-up report is expected to be issued later this afternoon.
