Members of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces participated in a mangrove planting exercise at the Suva foreshore in support of Fiji’s efforts at the COP23 in Bonn, Germany.

RFMF Force Operations Chief Staff Officer, Major Lepani Damuni says over a hundred and twenty troops from the various units of the force were part of the mangrove planting drive.

Damuni adds this was part of their contribution in the combat and mitigation of the adverse effects of climate change locally and in the Pacific region.
