Assessors have retired behind closed doors to deliberate on an opinion in relation to a man alleged to have raped his grandson last year.

Suva High Court Judge Justice Riyaz Hamsa summed up the case awhile ago.

The man is alleged to have raped his seven-year-old grandson in Suva on 20th December last year.

The victim was six years and nine month old at the time of the incident.
