Elderly people do not deserve to be treated unfairly.
This was the message delivered by Ministry of Women Children and Poverty Alleviation Permanent Secretary Dr Josefa Koroivueta in Suva today.
“Our senior citizens our very people that have contributed to nation building that have built their families over the years maybe some of them are forgotten maybe some of them are left uncared for we as a society and as a community must take stalk of what we have."
Koroivueta was speaking at an event held at the Senior Citizen Home in Samabula, Suva this morning.
He met the elders and discussed the problems which he says will be taken into consideration to improve their living.
The elders received a lunch treat and were assured that they will be given better services compared to this year.
