Transport Minister happy with allocation

Transport and Infrastructure Minister, Parveen Kumar, is happy with the allocations for next year saying whatever his ministry had proposed has been granted.

The Ministry has been allocated $112.2 million in next year’s budget.

$56.4m has been allocated for capital expenditure an increase of nine point two million from 2015.

“I am very happy – even there is an increase in allocation in the environment department and now it really depends on my staff to make sure that it is delivered because this is what they had asked for and now they need to deliver.”

The parliament will debate on the national budget from the 16th of November.
