Police will begin traffic operations from today.

This is after 70 cases of road fatalities were recorded last year.

Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho says they will not leave operations to be done only during festive seasons or during school holidays when they normally launch these operations.

Qiliho says the operations will run for a month before they review it as there are multiple operations planned for the year.
