Traditional welcome ceremony accorded to the Royal couple

Hundreds of people have gathered at Suva’s Albert Park to witness the welcome ceremony that is being accorded to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The Royal couple touched down at the Nausori International Airport a little after 3pm and were welcomed by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and his wife Mary Bainimarama among other Fijian officials.

The British High Commissioner to Fiji Melanie Hopkins was also present at the Airport.

The couple then made their way to the Borron House to meet President Major General retired Jioji Konrote.

They are now at Albert Park where the traditional welcome ceremony is underway.
