Traders should not shelf expired goods

December 6, 2015 4:19 am

Consumer Council of Fiji is warning traders not to shelf expired goods in supermarkets during the festive season.

Council chief executive officer Premila Kumar says the Council has been monitoring this and found some traders selling expired goods to make extra money.

“Now if it’s an expired product why they are putting that on the shelves so consumer responsibility is on one hand and trader responsibility is very important and traders should not act smart in the market place.”
