The Registrar of Trade Union Taito Waqa is not recognizing the reappointment of Daniel Urai and Felix Anthony as executives of the trade unions that they had resigned from.

Waqa, who is also the Permanent Secretary for Labour, says a due diligence of their reappointments is being carried and he will advise the Minister in due course.

Urai and Anthony claim their executives returned them to office without elections being held for the vacant positions in the Fiji Trades Union Congress.
Urai who resigned to contest the General Election is back as FTUC President and General Secretary of the National Union of Hospitality Catering Tourism Industries Employees.

Anthony who also resigned to contest the General Election has returned as General Secretary of both the FTUC and the Fiji Sugar and General Workers Union.
