The 2016-2017 Budget holistically addresses the empowerment of women.

This was highlighted by Permanent Secretary for Women, Dr. Josefa Koroivueta while opening the Duavata police Korova Women’s trade show in Suva yesterday.

“It means coming out of their shells, to be self-reliant and to be boosted in a venture to have better livelihood. I think what we see here are the products of some meticulous work that women have done-it’s not done in a day-it’s done through sweat perseverance, commitment and of course family support.”

Many who came from as far as Lau – the trade show is a platform to showcase their products and grow their business.
