Trade Ministry gives $15K for Womens Expo

The Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation was grateful to receive a $15,000 cheque from the Minister for Trade Faiyaz Koya for the upcoming Women Expo.

The Minister says through this Expo women will be able to get experience through selling their products to earn a sustainable market.

‘’Ministry of trade whole heartedly supports ministry for women Expo. It is an initiative that empowers women entrepreneurs to get connected to the new markets and in support of the expo ministry of trade industry and tourism providing a 15 thousand dollar towards the expo. This will assist the Ministry of Women Children and Poverty Alleviation will meeting the necessary cost of the actual expo, the platform will also enable women to get hand on experience on doing business and at the same time learn marketing skills to sell doing the business’’.

Ministry of Women Children and Poverty Alleviation, Rosy Akbar acknowledged the donation and ensured that the contribution will be commitment towards the empowerment of the women artisans in Fiji.

The expo will be held at Vodafone Arena on Wednesday from 14th to 16th of October.
