An Indian national appeared in the Nadi Magistrates Court today charged for making threats and false statements.

Swarup Das, who works as a chief officer in Perth, Australia confessed that he was making conversation with border security when he said he had a bomb and it’s going to detonate.

The incident happened on Tuesday and Das was detained, charged and brought to court today.

He pleaded guilty to the offence and told the court that he’s planning to fly back to Australia tomorrow.

The 33-year-old is expected to be sentenced tomorrow.
