Toned down space for Hibiscus

June 20, 2017 4:27 am

The public can expect a toned down space for this year’s mother of all festivals.

Hibiscus Events Group Chair, Hirdesh Prasad says due to public safety issues last year, they will hold the festival on only one side of the road.

“This year we have changed the structure of the set up, we will no longer be using the ANZ parking lot as that will be designated for parking simply monitored by Fiji Sports Council and we have fitted everything from last year to the structure we have this year. Because last year we faced some issues about people walking up back and forth crossing the road, so we will be using one side only. The food stalls and rides will be on the Vodafone parking lot and our main stages will be the Vodafone Arena.”
