Two iTaukei Land Trust Board employees were sent home last Thursday and another is suspended…following an internal investigation into a cyber money siphoning scam.
TLTB general manager Alipate Qetaki confirms that the two transferred money belonging to landowning units into their personal bank accounts.
Qetaki says close to $90,000 has been scammed but they fear more money could be involved.
The two men are alleged to have taken the money begining from last year.
The investigation into their activity was conducted at the begining this month and the matter has been handed over to the police.
Qetaki has also raised questions about the level of vigilance cyber crime watch dogs have in the country.
Thirty eight TLTB officials have been sacked for defrauding lease money in the past.
