Director Operation at the Ministry, Mahendra Kumar says they are looking into the matter.

Kumar says there is no drainage board and work relating to waterways comes under the Ministry.

“I have to find out from the Nausori office that the government has given a $3m budget provision for this financial year. We will attend to this village’s drainage problem and see what drainage improvement can be done.”

The Vanuadina village outside Nausori town is in a flood prone area.
