Three men from Lovoni settlement, near Mead Road in Nabua who allegedly robbed a sixty-four-year-old retired man have been remanded in custody.

Twenty-three-year-old Anasa Lenikali, twenty-four-year-old Seru Jorou and twenty-six-year-old Joeli Cama allegedly entered the house of Atish Nath in Lakeba Street, Samabula and stole six hundred dollars cash.

The incident happened last Wednesday.

The Suva Magistrates Court heard Nath was asleep with his wife, when the three accused entered their premises at around 1am.

It is alleged the accused used pinch bar and stones to hit the victim’s wife before demanding for money.

The Magistrate has transferred the matter to High Court.

The case will be recalled on the 2nd of next month.
