61-year-old Ashraf Ali (blue) confirmed dead

The family of the third Fijian victim in the Christchurch massacre has confirmed to FBC News that he has passed away.

Ashraf Ali was reported missing but his family managed to speak to New Zealand police last night to confirm his death.

The 61-year-old and former Fiji resident migrated to New Zealand 17 years ago.

The family is now liaising with Police to release his body for burial while other members of his family in Fiji.

It’s also been confirmed other members of his family are arranging their travel documents to farewell their loved one in New Zealand.
