The United States to provide humanitarian assistance to Fiji

The U.S. Agency for International development (USAID) is providing an initial $100,000 in humanitarian aid to the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies for critical relief supplies and basic water, sanitation, and hygiene assistance.

A disaster expert from USAID’s Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance is on the ground in Fiji and is working with the national government to assess damage, identify needs, and coordinate response efforts.
