The Fiji National Provident Fund is looking at introducing new products for pensioners.

However, this can only be made possible after the review of the FNPF Act.

Chief Executive Jaoji Koroi says they are still reviewing the Act which will be completed in due course.

Koroi revealed this during the Pensioners Day, where retirees were hosted by the Fund to an informational day at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva.

He adds the need for pensioners to be recognized is vital considering their contribution to the nation.

“It’s really just a social day for pour pensioners .It’s for us to understand them more and to be able to have a free sessions with them .Most of the time when they come to the office they are being served at a short time so today we have the whole day to know them better, understand their situation and in doing so, hopefully we can understand the product that we are giving to them.”

More than 300 retirees turned up to the event this morning and similar Pensioners Day will take place in other divisions as well.
