National Federation Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad claims the Government has run out of money.

Prasad says this is reflective in the drastic cut back of the 2019/2020 national budget.

The opposition member says the government should have listened to his speeches in the last four years, which could have contributed some sense to the latest budget.

He says while listening to the budget announcement by the Economy Minister – he felt sorry for him as he looked like he did not want to be in Parliament.

“He looked like a man who did not want to talk about the budget, so he did, he did talk about the opposition, he did talk about the National Bank of Fiji, he talked about school gardening competitions and he talked about how children jumped on milk cartons but he did not talk on why the government has no money.”

The NFP parliamentarian says Fiji’s economy is not a strong and successful one as it’s a mediocre economy fueled by debt.

Economy Minister, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum will give his right of reply tonight.
