The annual event is being hailed a success with more than 90 presentations over the last three days.
It highlighted some of the pressing issues in the region.
Professor Stephen Howes, the Economics Director of the Australian National University’s Development Policy Center says they extended the update to three days for the first time since the update began.
He adds that competition to participate as a presenter at the event was also fierce with hundreds of applicants.
Issues highlighted at the Pacific Update included climate risk, gender empowerment, and health to name a few.
Labour Mobility was a given a whole day to discuss today given the expanded program in the region and how Pacific Islanders are both benefiting and dealing with some the social challenges.
