Tenders for hospitals to be called

The Attorney General says the government wants to set up medical facilities with international standards.

While speaking to India’s Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Ashwini Choubey, Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum said they will soon be calling for tenders to build more hospitals in Fiji.

He encouraged the India’s Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare to put in their tender.

“We are looking forward to a public private partnership and by assisting Fiji and by setting up a medical facilities that are internationally certified we will be able to provide assistance not to only to Fijians but other Pacific islanders live within the Pacific region.”

Meanwhile the Indian Government recently provided one point seven million dollar assistance for Fiji’s Micro Small Medium Enterprises.
