Tender for postal voting courier services

November 6, 2017 2:34 am

The Fijian Elections Office will hold several meetings with the successful bidders for postal courier.

Elections Supervisor, Mohammed Saneem, says the meetings will be held to identify the most suitable and convenient way of distribution and return of ballot papers.

“For the 2018 general elections based on our reviews of the 2014 elections – we have divided the entire globe into four regions – this is an attempt to streamline the distribution and return of postal ballots. It is noted that there may be companies in Fiji that may specialize in some regions while they may not be able to cater for the whole world distribution.”

The four regions include Fiji, Pacific Islands, Australia and New Zealand and the rest of the World.

The close off time for postal ballots is 6pm Election Day.

The FEO has advertised tenders for the second round of its election material and services procurement.
