Rev Londsdale thanked the Fijian Government for the support and assistance rendered to the people of Vanuatu.

He says the relations between the two countries dates far back when people from Vanuatu were brought to work in Fiji’s sugar cane plantations as well as those Vanuatu nationals who attended schools in Fiji.

The two also talked about regional peace and security and believes that as a region we need to provide a united front to bring security issues to the attention of global powers.

High Commissioner Teleni later reviewed a guard of honour.
