Technology advancement is a reality which must be embraced.

Education Minister Rosy Akbar says that technology plays a vital role in teaching and learning in classrooms as students prepare themselves for the 21st century.

Speaking at the handing-over of donations from Guangzhou city in Suva, Akbar says this will boost the participation of students in their academic progress and cultural development.

She says the donations shows Fiji and China strong relations.

“It is also a testament of the genuine and deep relationship Fiji and China has had over a long period of time and like I said we are all delighted to note that it is growing from strength to strength.”

Meanwhile, Yet Sen School in Suva is the first to have an artificial intelligence facility.

The school also received lion props and books from Guangzhou city in China.
