Finalising the technical assistance for the review of the National Building Code is currently in process.
This was confirmed by the Minister for Industry and Trade, Faiyaz Koya while opening the Construction Industry Council Conference at the Warwick Resort in Coral Coast last night.
Koya says that the National Building code provides the minimum standards for construction on the building and materials that are used in a particular construction.
“In this review, we will ensure added value which will also reduce barriers, international trade regardless of where a product is made the standard can be used and sold around the globe.”
Koya also says that standards play a crucial role in building materials as it ensures the quality and consistency of products and services is maintain for businesses and consumers.
