Tebara Festival opens in Nausori after more than 12 years

The Vodafone Tebara festival was officially opened in Nausori after 12 years.

It was officiated by the Jone Bacau – the Divisional Planning Officer Central.

Nausori Town Council Special Administrator Azam Khan with the new
development in Nausori the council believes such an event should be staged that could bring members of the community together.

“It is a carnival that we know that attracts people that is very well known in this area and we would like to see it become another carnival that is well branded well looked after in terms of continuity and becomes an annual event.”

Six queen contestants will be vying for the crown representing areas within the Nausori boundary.

The festival will end next Saturday.
