The Ministry of Education has announced that the year 2016 will see capital project grants allocated for teacher’s quarters.
This was highlighted by the Minister for Education Mahendra Reddy while meeting the Bua and Seaqaqa Council of School Managers in the Northern Division earlier this week.
Dr Reddy said it was sad to see that teachers, especially married couples, sharing quarters with other single teachers.
He said there was no privacy in such cases and that the Ministry has have received this request from the school managers.
Meanwhile, the Education Minister has called on School Managers in the Northern Division to work together for the interest of the School children.
Dr Reddy said previously it was difficult for people to collect money for school constructions and give children basic education.
