Tropical Depression 04F has lesser chances of developing into a Category one Cyclone.
Fiji Meteorological Services director, Ravin Kumar, says flood warning is still in place for the entire nation.
“Tropical depression was located 370 km West North-West of Nadi or 290 km West North-west of Viwa Island at 7am this morning. It has once again started to become slow moving. The chance of it to develop into a tropical cyclone has further reduced to low so therefore there is very less chance to develop into a tropical cyclone now.”
Kumar says heavy rain will continue today which will gradually start easing from tomorrow.
The strong wind warning also remains for both land and waters of Fiji.
Meanwhile, a flood alert that was previously in force for the low lying areas and downstream of Nabukaluka station is now cancelled.
