Nadi Meteorological Services Director Ravin Kumar says the depression will intensify and bring more rain to Fiji.

“It is moving south wards at 12 knots and is expected to continue on this track. It has a high probability to turn into a tropical cyclone category 1 system in the next 6 to 12 hours. At this point the Tropical Depression does not pose any direct threat to Fiji however the associated weather and rain affects the country.”
