Tropical Cyclone Winston has been downgraded to a category 4 storm and as of 7.30am it was moving west away from Fiji.

The Fiji Metrological Office in Nadi has cancelled the flood alert that was previously in force for the following areas;

Low lying areas and downstream of Keiyasi, Votualevu, Nadi river, Tuva river, Nabukaluka, Nabukelevu, Navua river and Waimanu river.

However, a flood alert remains in force for the low lying areas at Vatukacevaceva station downstream to Rakiraki town.
