The Fiji Meteorological Services says Tropical Cyclone Pola is weakening.

Director Misaele Funaki says TC Pola is currently located at about 290km to the South- South East of Onoi Lau and is moving southwards at around 18km/hr.

Funaki says the winds have gradually decreased as TC Pola is moving further away from the group.

“With that stated the areas towards the Lau and Lomaiviti group could still be experiencing some strong winds and occasional showers that are associated with the system.”

Funaki says Fiji should expect a graduate improvement in the weather as winds will ease and rainfall will decrease.
