Strong winds continue to be experienced in the Ra Province.

A number of families have been taking shelter at evacuation centres since yesterday due to their homes being flooded.

Motorists are also being advised to be careful of a few fallen trees along the road from Rakiraki Town to Barotu Village.

Fallen power lines can also be seen on some roads

Tavua and Rakiraki Town are still closed as firefighters are trying to clean the area.

Electricity and communication lines have also been affected.

The majority of feeder roads are still flooded with vehicles not able to cross.
